MSP Allan Wilson welcomed the additional childcare and family support
afforded the people of the
Three Towns by the new James Moffat Child & Family Centre in Glasgow Street,
Ardrossan. Speaking at the
opening Mr Wilson said,
“ The provision of high quality childcare provision in North Ayrshire has
been one of the success
stories of the last six years. This new facility will add to existing
provisions and give new economic
opportunities to mothers and families in the Three Towns.”
“As well as creating new jobs in the childcare sector, the services provided
at the centre will enable
mothers and other carers to return to employment in a much more flexible
labour market, knowing their
children are being looked after by professionals” said Mr Wilson.
“It also gives the children a stable and secure environment and will add to
their opportunities in
years to come.”
“ It is a perfect example of the statutory and voluntary sectors working
together, with the help of the
Moffat Charitable Trust, to improve life prospects in the Three Towns”
concluded Mr Wilson. |
