Ground-breaking work being carried out at facility.
The Company has grown by a very impressive 50 per cent
in the past year. 30 more jobs to be created this financial year.

Andrew McCree, chief executive of AEA Technology, said:
“We are beginning to establish a world class environment operation in AEA
Technology, and Glengarnock is at the very forefront of our plans.
“Our Scottish environment business, based at Glengarnock, has grown by a
very impressive 50 per cent in the past year.
This increase is higher than any of our projections.
“Our clear target is to create 30 more jobs in our environment division in
Glengarnock by the end of this financial year.
“We have always had the vision of a smart Scottish workforce being developed
in Glengarnock, growing a world class AEA
Technology, and building our business in Europe and elsewhere. That vision
is gradually becoming a reality.”
Charles Boyle, director of AEA’s Glengarnock site, said:
“We are doing ground-breaking work here on energy, climate change, air
pollution, and waste minimisation – right across a wide environmental
spectrum.
“We are heavily focused on the Scottish Executive’s agenda of making
Scotland a cleaner and healthier place to live and work. These are exciting
times.”
Allan Wilson MSP said:
“AEA Technology’s half-yearly results, released just over a week ago, are
pretty impressive.
“The financial analysts describe the company’s environment business as being
in the right place at the right time.
“I believe that may be especially true of the Glengarnock operation. The
Scottish Executive has a real focus on environment – and on linking it with
our business growth strategy to deliver Scottish jobs.
“AEA’s rail division has been working in very tough circumstances. But my
understanding is that the rail team here at Glengarnock are in the bidding
for a major Scottish contract, and there may be good news on that front too
before Christmas.”
