Allan Wilson MSP has slammed "mindless vandals" who have again attacked St
Margaret's Church in Dalry, badly
damaging the kitchen area.
Mr Wilson said it was beyond comprehension that anyone should behave in this
way towards a place of worship and
sanctity. The church has been subject to a number of previous break-ins.
The MSP added: "I have spoken to Inspector Kenneth MacLachlan at Kilbirnie
and he has agreed to put extra patrols into the area. He will also arrange
for the Crime Prevention Unit to contact the Minister, in order to
advise on more effective protection of the building".
Mr Wilson appealed for anyone with any knowledge of the attacks to contact
the local police.
