Labour MSP Allan Wilson has welcomed news that the James Watt College
dispute has been suspended.
The industrial action has been suspended and negotiations will continue.
Mr Wilson had written to both the Chair of the Board of Management of James
Watt College and to the STUC
urging them to resolve the dispute in a mutually satisfactory manner, and to
see the uninterrupted provision of courses to the students and communities
served by the College.
Mr Wilson said “This news must be welcomed by the students and teaching
staff alike and I am pleased there can be an amicable solution”.
